Current Research: Architecture for Java with XParts
XParts is an UML-based architecture description language and an application
framework for Java applications. It is a simple extension of the Java language by interpreting an
xml-based architecture model descriptor.
- You can read more about XParts in the following white paper:
An Execution Model for UML Component Diagrams Integrated Into Java Programming.
- A short paper can be found as part of the ECOOP workshop Practical Problems of Programming in the Large 2004
- You can try it and study the source code (available under GNU public license).
- XParts is now dynamically distributable, see the diploma (master) thesis of Alexander Prack.
